Como suavizar a cidade? es la itinerancia del proyecto ¿Cómo suavizar una ciudad? a la ciudad de Sao Paulo, Brasil a través de un Fondo Nacional para la circulación del trabajo. El registro de esta experiencia fue expuesto en Galpao Comum (SP).
"El trabajo surge de una postura crítica del artista contra la rigidez de las estructuras socio-políticas, las relaciones afectivas y laborales, el tiempo y la estética del paisaje urbano. La investigación consiste en explorar los límites de la dureza de los cuerpos en la ciudad a partir del momento en que otro cuerpo, extraño, habitable y maleable, aparece en escena. La maleabilidad del dispositivo textil se erige por el dinamismo impermanente de la circulación del aire que lo atraviesa, creando una dialéctica opuesta y complementaria al contexto inmediato". “The work arises from a critical stance of the artist against the rigidity of socio-political structures, affective and labor relations, time and the aesthetics of the urban landscape. The research consists of exploring the limits of the hardness of bodies in the city from the moment in which another body, strange, habitable and malleable, appears on the scene. The malleability of the textile device is erected by the impermanent dynamism of the circulation of the air that passes through it, creating a dialectic that is opposite and complementary to the immediate context.” [Paula Monroy]
