'Juego de manos' es una instalación participativa que aprovecha la estructura metálica de un juego infantil abandonado en la Plaza Manuel Rodríguez del Barrio República (Santiago).
A través de una pieza de tela hecha a medida, la estructura se transforma en una escultura viva, un cuerpo hecho de muchos cuerpos que se toma un espacio vacante para jugar y compartir.
La instalación se asemeja a un juguete performático de azul eléctrico, un monstruo coreográfico de veinte manos, un juego con reglas por inventar.
La instalación formó parte de la Jornada de Creación Colectiva del sábado 29.10.22 organizada por el Museo de la Solidaridad Salvador Allende y que contó con la participación de @textileras_mssa @lazurcida y @juanestebanreyes_

'Juego de manos' is a participatory installation that takes advantage of the metal structure of an abandoned children's game in the Plaza Manuel Rodriguez in Barrio República (Santiago)
Through a custom-made piece of fabric, the structure is transformed into a living sculpture, a body made of many bodies that takes a vacant space to play and share.
The installation resembles a performative toy in electric blue, a choreographic monster with twenty hands, a game with rules to be invented.
The installation was part of the Jornada de Creación Colectiva on Saturday 29.10.22 organized by the Museo de la Solidaridad Salvador Allende and featuring @textileras_mssa @lazurcida and @juanestebanreyes_.

¿Cómo se ablanda una ciudad? es una investigación artística que toma la forma de una serie de instalaciones en distintos puntos de la ciudad de Santiago. Arquitecturas efímeras e inflables que se activan con el aire remanente de los respiraderos del Metro e invitan a los transeúntes a desviar su camino para mirar, entrar, compartir y jugar.

How to soften a city? is an artistic investigation that takes the form of a series of installations in different parts of the city of Santiago. Ephemeral and inflatable architectures that are activated by the remaining air from the Metro's vents and invite passers-by to divert their path to look, enter, share and play.

Estas instalaciones urbanas habitan un territorio intersticial entre el arte y la arquitectura y hacen uso de los "no lugares" (Augé) resignificándolos y dialogando con el contexto. A través de la metáfora del cuerpo desplegado en el espacio urbano, el proyecto pretende suavizar simbólicamente una ciudad fálica y dura. Mediante el uso de símbolos universales como el útero (primer hogar) y la teta (primer alimento, apego), se buscó apelar a sensibilidades transversales para congregar los cuerpos de la ciudad más allá de las rígidas barreras que los separan.

The proposed site-specific urban installations inhabit an interstitial territory between art and architecture and make use of ‘nonplaces’ (Augé) resignifying them and dialoguing with the context. Through the metaphor of the body deployed in urban space, the project seeks to symbolically soften a phallic and hard city. Through the use of universal symbols such as the uterus (first home) and the teat (first food, attachment), it was sought to appeal to transversal sensibilities in order to congregate the bodies of the city beyond the rigid barriers that separate them.
